Wardrobe Audit

personal shopper

  • Establish style goal (what you want your style to be, or your wardrobe to say about you)
  • Critically look at each item (trying on when needed). Is it still in style? Does it fit? Is it in good condition?
  • Divide the clothing into 3 piles: keeping, donating, and tossing.
  • Organize the “keeping” pile and create full outfits
  • Create a shopping list to fill in the gaps of the items that are missing from your wardrobe (ie. shoes, accessories, undergarments, etc. ). We are available to do your shopping at an additional cost.
The goal is to own a real “READY-TO-WEAR” Wardrobe!

Your closet should be organized, this is not a closet make-over.

Here are a few tips to get your closet in order before your audit.

  • Gain extra space in all closets by using slim hangers, www.onlyslimlinehangers.com has great slim hangers
  • Slim plastic shoe boxes stack compactly or use a metal shoe rack that affixes to the wall (good way to get shoes off the closet floor).
  • Use large canvas boxes to store away neatly folded sweaters, while hanging canvas shelves offer an inexpensive alternative to built-ins.
  • Feel free to use a label maker or take photos for the ultimate closet organization.
  • Durable hooks keep large handbags from slumping and losing shape on shelves. Handbag holders are great for this (see handbag holder at: http://www.stylistashoppingtours.com/4-shopping-days-left/)
