On a brisk Wednesday afternoon I came upon these two cuties strolling on the streets of the UES (upper east side)…I thought Dana was adorable and Brandon a definite hottie…BTW if your ever at the 5th avenue Apple store, be sure to say hello to Brandon, he is the most requested concierge…
After watching a cast of thousands line up over the past 5 days to get into the brand new TOPSHOP TOPMEN, I decided it was time… The buzz about Kate Moss’s collection has been lingering for months, and now its here! I am more curious than excited, however here I go…. Am I in New York or London? It seems as if everyone around me is speaking with a British accent…oh they are…ok…hmmm, looking around…wait this looks familiar…it feels familiar…this costume jewelry…yuk …Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh I get it, I just entered an overpriced H&M with the same quality….let me not be so quick to judge…I will go upstairs…aha! the Kate Moss collection, so this black suede bolero jacket is the piece she said was her favorite item in a recent interview…Idon’t like it…but I guess I can see why she does… Her collection is quite cute…however I am not impressed…Jessica Simpson might have a better line than her…lol…Never the less I do have two tops that I am purchasing for myself. Hmmmmn…. interesting…. they have a petite section here on the second floor and a small maternity section on the third floor …wait are those shoes I see???? Ah los zapatos…Oh good Lord…Elizabeth I’m comin….These are bad bad knockoffs of all the top shoe designers current collections…Christian Louboutin would not be flatterd by the gesture…there is nothing wrong with trying to reach the masses, hell it’s not like I only have high end shoes in my closet, but for the love of everything beautiful I can’t imagine how some of these passed inspection and made it on to the floor….ok time to be positive…I did like my purchase… and the store does offer some treats, such as a free Style Advisor, it’s a personal shopper at no charge for one full hour at your request. They do carry clothes for tall women too, and soon the will offer free courier service, yep they will messenger the clothes you buy at no charge. Free Topshop To Go is another service in which they allow you to have a Mary Kay type of party at your home and they provide two full racks of clothing…could be interesting…Topshop has 3 floors, Unique (London runway), Boutique (Individual designs), and Kate Moss designs! Oh and they are giving away free cloth shopping bags for the first week..Above are the photos I took during my visit, all the dresses in the second photograph are from the Kate Moss collection… TOPSHOP gets 1.5 stars…I doubt it will survive in The Big Apple…
Summer Fun Sexy Wedge
I really love this Miu Miu wedge, it’s somewhat reminiscent of the 70’s. It’s the perfect shoe for a hot summer day, a pretty dress….and some Tasti De Lite or Pink Berry!
This lovely lady and her group of friends were out on the town and stopped for a quick bite, I was killing time waiting to see a film at the Sunshine Theater… I appreciated the look, black opaque tights, the most darling black suede shoes, and a chic mini dress, which she pulled off quite nicely…I mostly enjoyed that she added the fur vest which she had custom made…her friend admitted she gets compliments every time she wears it…
This five and a half inch Miu Miu, is deliciously sexy… The Python sizzles all by itself, but it’s the gold hardware that adds just the perfect touch of class. The T-Bar allows the foot to look fab from any angle. This little piece of heaven comes in bone Patent leather, Rust calfskin, etc… I promise you will have a hard time choosing a color… It’s a perfect date shoe….. $635
