Gucci Icon Pop-Up Shop
Yesterday I visited the Gucci sneaker Pop-Up shop in Soho. The concept of a pop up store is reminiscent of a gallery with exhibitions. Pop ups are rarely announced, quickly draw in the crowds, and then vanish! They serve to tease and generate buzz around their brand. The Gucci pop-up shop is exclusively on Crosby Street for two weeks only. They carry a limited selection of limited edition foot wear, mostly donned by sneaker aficionados. There are 18 styles, including two pieces for women and one designed by famed DJ and music producer Marc Ronson. I have to say I did like what I saw, and I would wear one of the styles for women.
This store will be gone as soon as the product is, they will then tour a few other cities to introduce the pop-up concept. The sneakers at this store will not be available @ Gucci. Once there gone they are gone forever!
