Coco de Mer comes to Nolita!
There are quite a few shops in New York city that specialize in made-to-measure lingerie. Now London-based company Coco de Mer, purveyor of “erotic luxury” is opening its first store in New York City. The inspiration for the shop gets it’s name from the Coco de Mer seed only found on two islands in the entire world. The Coco De Mer is a fruit that resembles both male & female anatomy. The daughter of the founder of The Body Shop, Sam Roddick, was inspired by this rare seed to open a shop filled with vintage-inspired silk intimates, erotic literature and boudoir accessories like the “Butterfly Merkin”, and the “Betony Vernon Pleasure Puff Ring”. The excitement doesn’t stop there, they also provide classes to learn more about sexual pleasure.
