Karen traveled far and long to be sweetly surprised when we she learned of new fascinating shops, and found an interesting array of items! Doesn’t her face say it all?

Sweet “16″ Stylista Shopping Tour!

Catie, Monica & Jessica visited New York City and embarked on a Sweet “16″ shopping tour! They certainly shopped til they dropped…well just about! Monica’s donning a handmade necklace bought on the streets of Soho & a great pair of vintage sandals that her daughter Catie wanted. They weren’t in Catie’s size so voila mama’s stepping out in style and comfort! Jessica Catie’s aunt found this great light cashmere ruffled top that really works for her & fits into her everyday wardrobe. Catie is rocking out in this lovely flowered print vintage dress & vintage low wedged red sandals. Sweet look for a 16 year old confidently celebrating her own style!

Sasha In The City!

Outside of Bryant Park I randomly stopped this stylista on the street! Sasha shared with me that the great t-shirt she was wearing, she purchased in Las Vegas. She bought it from a shop that launched a line of shirts that were hand-painted by children to raise money for their charity! Way to go Sasha, you rock!

SPRING IN THE CITY…

New York City streets exploded with people on the first day of Spring 2010! Central Park seemed to be the center of it all. I was passing through the park from the East side to the West to visit the Shops @ Columbus Circle. So many people, tons of sun, and absolute explosive New York energy. I encountered these two cutie pies…Tiffany & Sandra. Tiffany recently moved to the City from Los Angeles, and she was showing it off to her dear friend Sandra who was visiting. Their style seemed an appropriate homage to Spring in the city!

Camila (left) from Peru and Valeria from Argentina… obliged me with a quick pose before hurrying off to the handsome gentleman waiting for them across the street! Adios chicas…

Denim & Vintage Fur

Our “Style In The City” section of our blog serves to celebrate individual style on the streets of New York City. John Fairchild designer and publisher of Women’s Wear Daily in the early 1960‘s once said ““Style” is an expression of individualism mixed with charisma”. I believe that is exactly what these two ladies are expressing here! On two different occasions last week, I came across two individual women who use denim & fur according to their personality and lifestlye. Marlyn on the left is a 17 year old student in Manhattan. I love her relaxed Saturday afternoon look, yet the fur and fringed handbag added a sweet touch of glamour. Gina on the right is a hair stylist, a wife and a mother, who added some spice to her weekend look by donning a well fitted chic vintage fur. Of course you can wear denim with fur, or faux fur. Go for it!

Running around in a walking city like New York can be exhausting at times. Yes I’ve done it in heels but prefer not to. I always admire people who can walk around in sneakers and still look cute. Case in point this handsome couple, she looks like she woke up and stepped into the most comfortable jeans and sneakers without a second thought. He threw on a light scarf and off they went. I admire when people make it look easy!

Labor Day NYC Shopping Tour!

This sweet Canadian couple scored some great buys and had a blast on their Stylista Shopping Tour! They purchased 95% of merchandise that was hand picked specifically for them by one of our very own Stylistas! Bertrand & Lyne left New York City with new fall wardrobes, including holiday outfits! These were just a few of their bags….
